The Downcast, Cakeface and Mitch Tones

The Downcast is a Toronto based rock band formed in 2018. Their fresh sound and energetic live show excites music fans off all genres.
Earworm hooks, technical riffs, vocal harmonies, and emotional lyrics, with a backbone of fluid songwriting.
With their debut EP due in August of '18 and relentless gig schedule; if you haven't heard of them yet, you will hear of them soon.

Cakeface is an Alternative Hard Rock/Grunge band from London, ON. With a mixture of riffs you’ll want to headbang to, and vocals you’ll want to sing along with, this four piece comes at the listener with an intensity that will leave you wanting more! Their unique sound mixed with their energetic live show creates an experience you won’t want to miss. Are you ready for Cakeface?

As finalists in the Montreal based music showcase ‘Landmark Showcase Festival’, as well as on-going semi-finalists in this year’s 97.7 HTZ FM Rocksearch, Mitch Tones Band is weeks away from the release of their self-titled EP. They display an approach to writing that reflects a contemporary take on blues-rock & story-telling; the likes of The Tragically Hip shaking hands with Pearl Jam.

Founded by front man Mitch Tones during the band’s enrollment in the Music Industry Arts program at Fanshawe College in late 2015, a strong team was put together and the band hit the studio with engineer/producer Mike Donaldson to produce their debut EP. Mastered by Rob Nation of EMAC Studios, London, their first single, "World of Trouble" was released in October of 2017.

Leading up to the release of their full-length effort, the Mitch Tones Band is showcasing their explosive live energy and unwavering chemistry at venues such as the Horseshoe Tavern, Revival Bar, and the Oshawa Music Hall to name a few.
