Adrenaline-fuelled, emotionally charged Alternative Rock.
‘…a whirlwind of high-powered, introspective rock, complete with galvanising riffs and dulcet vocals… there’s an incredible element of theatricality to (Where Fires Are) in the sense that each track is so intricately woven together, and performed with such fire and intensity… it’s all but impossible to look away. The band appear completely lost in the music throughout the entirety of their set, which is beautiful to see…’

Where Fires Are was formed in late 2013 after Nick, James, Matt, Robbie and Ash had graduated from Leeds College of Music (UK). Nick (keys, synth) loves yoga, giraffes and used to play trumpet in a Reggae band. James (bass) enjoys whisky, animals and drinking whisky with animals. He used to play guitar but decided to switch to bass because there are less strings to worry about. Matt (drums) is a 1980’s Hair Metal frontman trapped inside the body of a modern day drummer. His interests include cooking and cheating at poker. Robbie (lead vocals) lists Brandon Boyd, Jonathan Davis, Kurt Cobain and Michael Stipe as his main influences. He loves animals and video games and is a self-proclaimed Pokémon Master. Ash (guitar) has more effects pedals than clean clothes and should not be trusted with alcohol. His passions include cycling and filling out his tax return.
