Layden and the Lion

Add gritty vocals, true life lyricism, catchy riffs, and a solid rhythm section and you get Layden and the Lion. Based out of South Louisiana and Florida, sure to impress the listening audience both musically and visually. Heavily influenced by the sounds of Lucero, Against me!, Brian Fallon and Chuck Ragan, as well as many other bands/genres blended together to create his sound. Releasing the first 6 song EP "Lost And Lonely With Everything" in 2016 which displays a passion for writing songs that everyone can relate too, whether it be an uptempo feel good song, to a mid tempo lyrically dark song, to a laid back acoustic song about the struggles of day to day life to recording a 10 song LP with Aaron Gillespie of Underoath and The Almost to come out in 2017. He is not trying to reinvent the wheel.....  just keeping the wheel rolling.

The Achromatics

Earth, Wind & Fire meets Enrique Iglesias. The Supremes meet Carlos Santana. What happens when you combine a powerful female horn section, Motown-style vocals, a Latin-influenced rhythm section and a Top-40-calibre stage show? The Achromatics: Music to be appreciated by the mind and body.

The Achromatics are a nine-person superband creating a new sensation in pop music driven by soulful melody, Latin rhythm, and ferocious showmanship. They have been dazzling audiences throughout Ontario on their 2017 Summer Heatwave Tour, including stops at The Beaches International Jazz Festival, Barrie Waterfront Festival, and Canada’s Largest Ribfest. Their debut record, “Give Me That Beat” will be released internationally on November 24 2017, with a CD release party in Toronto on November 29 at Hugh’s Room Live. The Achromatics transmit sound and experience without distinguishing between genres. A truly Canadian band, it’s their mission to create good music that is accessible to everyone.

Zulu Panda began his pursuits as an independent singer-songwriter in 2013 after the release of his self-produced full-length album, 'Hope All Abandoned.’ That year, he was named semi-finalist in the international 'Song of the Year' songwriting contest and graduated with top marks from Langara

College's Singer-Songwriter Certificate Program. Since then, he has toured most of Canada, the western United States and parts of China, in addition to developing a local Vancouver cult fan base. He continues to work with industry professionals (including songwriter Deborah Holland of Animal Logic and producer

Adam Fulton) to further develop his sound. His plans for the future include co-writing a musicaladaptation of a 1980's action movie as well as touring more of North America and Europe.

Gert Taberner

Growing up in Frankfurt, Germany, Gert Taberner was exposed to English-speaking  culture and eventually made the trek over to Vancouver, B.C. where he decided to further cultivate his musical abilities, particularly in the realm of songwriting. With his music, Gert strives to compensate for what he feels interpersonal relationships these days lack or misinterpret: the concept of intimacy.

After completing work on his first record, he set off seeking different challenges, which led him to New York to work on his craft further. Upon returning to Vancouver, Gert has been working on a new record with producer, David Tallarico.

Heavily influenced by the likes of Damien Rice, Paul Simon, and many more, the songs on his debut EP Fallen seek to convey yearning and hope, contrasted by a strong sense of disillusionment. Recent success was found with Taberner.s EP single "In Need" which was picked up and placed in the second season of popular Netflix series, SENSE8.

Turnt of the Century! : A 2000's Dance Party

Oops! We Did It Again…after the notorious 90s parties, it’s time to have a Beautiful Day by celebrating the 2000s!

Make sure to bring your Seven Nation Army, and as this party is a Family Affair you can also bring your uncle, cousins and grand-parents. But please, leave your 99 Problems and Umbrella at home.

Dresscode: Back To Black is always classy, but this decade is hella fun so you better put your Pokerface on, or even better show us your inner and outter Mr. Brightside!

And don’t forget, there is only one rule In Da Club: Hips Don’t Lie!

Bye Bye Bye and see you on January 19th!

Whiplash Girlchild- Residency

Whiplash Girlchild is a Toronto-based indie psych rock and acoustic band consisting of three members. While only performing together for six months, the band is comprised of three musicians who have spent their lives honing their craft. Coming together to form Whiplash Girlchild, the brainchild of Lucas Tennen, the three have taken their respective strengths and fused them to create an electric showcase of high-energy instrumentation and punk-inspired music for their fans to thrash and dance to.

Over the past several months, Whiplash Girlchild has been slowly building an organic fanbase in Toronto with shows in venues including Cinecycle, Smiling Buddha, Supermarket and Cadillac Lounge, plus selling their merchandise and creating word-of-mouth buzz for their upcoming performances in the city. In addition to building an ever-growing brand, Whiplash Girlchild has been working on their first demo with plans to record a debut EP this winter, plus constantly grabbing performance opportunities in new venues around the Toronto area. Simply put, they’re Whiplash Girlchild and they’re strictly for the people.
